Airbnb had a strategic vision to create and curate the entire trip experience for the visitor renting a local’s home.
How can we create the full trip experience for the guest and provide additional opportunities for the host?
As lead designer and strategist, host team ideation workshops, with rapid prototyping to conceptualize the full trip experience.
The success of this project led to 3 additional separate engagements over 2 yrs while the Airbnb built out their internal design team.

We developed several UX concepts that explored integrating a local guide within the app that went beyond the itinerary of the details of the trip. The UX concepts brought continuous engagement and allowed the visitor to truly tap into the “living like a local” experience.
In addition we explored an adaptive homepage, personalized to your trip status. Separately, we were also engaged in navigation concepts and designing their first Airbnb Event Website.
